Planting for the future

At Wild, we take sustainable farming practices seriously, evidenced through out our supply chain. Our contracted processing plant was designed to have a low carbon footprint, with minimal environmental impact. As such our manufacturing process does not produce any landfill waste or water pollution.

Peelings from our wider operation go back to the plantations to be used as natural fertiliser, whilst the small bits of chips go back to the farms to be used as cattle feed.

Furthermore, we have decided to invest our profits in a grassroots non-governmental organisation, Ishpingo, whose primary focus is reforestation to tackle climate change. Unlike other NGOs, Ispingho believes in working closely with local populations to achieve its sustainability goals, with a firm belief that education and training can help sustain long-term benefits of reforestation. Each tree planted, stores CO2 (carbon dioxide) that helps to improve the living conditions of local populations, as well as helps in preserving the Amazon rainforest and its biodiversity. By planting 1 tree for every 1000 bags sold, our goal at Wild is to help save the Amazon rainforest and play our part in tackling climate change.

Through our involvement, at least 500 additional trees were planted in 2021-2022 to help combat deforestation and global warming. Over the next 3 years, our goal is to plant a total of over 1,500 trees.
